01
Onrush in short
G01What exactly is Onrush?
Onrush is the back-office of your kitchen, in your phone. Recipe cards, price list, supplier orders, HACCP, food cost — all in one place, all up to date in real time. You take a photo of your dish, the rest happens on its own.
G02What kind of place is it built for?
Indie restaurants, bistros, brasseries, food trucks, caterers. If you've got a kitchen and suppliers, Onrush is built for you. We're not built for chains running 50 sites with their own IT department.
G03Do I need to be tech-savvy?
No. If you can take a photo with your phone, you can use Onrush. We built the app for people on the line, not in front of a screen. Onboarding is 20 minutes, live, with us.
02
Excel, paper & binders
P01I've had my HACCP folder for 10 years — why change?
Your folder doesn't warn you when a batch is recalled. It doesn't recalculate your margin when a supplier puts prices up. And when the FSA / Environmental Health Officer turns up, you spend 10 minutes hunting for it. Onrush does all that automatically — your folder doesn't.
P02I use Excel for my recipe cards — works fine.
Excel doesn't update itself when your buying price changes. Your specs are accurate today — three months from now, after the next supplier hike, they're wrong. And you don't know it. That's the real problem.
P03Paper is simpler — no bugs, no outages.
Onrush works offline. You log temperatures with no wifi, your check-lists work in the basement. Everything syncs the moment you find signal. And paper, well — paper gets lost or wet.

Compare & alternatives
C01I already use Toast / MarginEdge / Apicbase / MarketMan.
Those tools are solid on their patch. Onrush goes further: photo → recipe card, a price list that updates itself, automatic HACCP, recall alerts straight in the app. If your current tool does all that, keep it. If not, 20 minutes of demo to compare side by side.
C02My EPOS already handles part of this.
EPOS systems run the till — not the kitchen. They don't run HACCP, they don't build recipe cards from a photo, they don't recalculate your margin in real time when buying prices move.
C03Why Onrush over a cheaper tool?
Show me a cheaper tool that builds a recipe card from a photo, updates the price list live and fills in your HACCP automatically. We're €49–€89/month (GBP equivalents at checkout). One hour with your accountant costs more.
04
Time & onboarding
T01I haven't got time to learn a new tool.
Demo's 20 minutes. Full onboarding — fridges, suppliers, team — takes one hour, with us. After that the app works, you don't. You get back roughly 7 hours a week from month one.
T02I'm on my own — running everything, no time.
That's exactly who we built it for. Solo founder cooking, ordering, doing the HACCP and the books on a Sunday night — Onrush gives you those Sundays back.
T03Migrating my data is going to take weeks.
It won't. You photograph your existing supplier sheets, we fill the rest. One hour and you're up. No manual migration, no spreadsheet to fill in.
05
Pricing & budget
A01€89/month is too much for me.
One point of food cost recovered on a £30K monthly turnover = £300. Onrush pays for itself in a week. And one administrative shutdown for missing HACCP records is several weeks of revenue gone. Plans run €49 / €89 / €149 (GBP equivalents at checkout).
A02I can't take on another subscription right now.
Fair. That's why the first 30 days after the demo are on us — you see the value before you pay. No card needed to get started.
A03Any hidden or setup fees?
None. You pay the price you see, full stop. No setup fee, no paid training, no add-on modules. Everything's in the plan.
06
AI, security & technology
I01Can the AI get recipe cards wrong?
Yes — same way a human can mistype. Which is why you review before you publish. In practice the error rate is lower than manual entry, and you save 90% of the time you'd spend creating cards.
I02Is my data safe?
Hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). GDPR / UK GDPR compliant. End-to-end encryption. Row-level security: nobody outside your team sees your data. Your recipes, prices and supplier data don't leave EU servers. We don't use your data to train anything.
I03What if the app goes down mid-service?
Onrush works offline. Your check-lists, temperature logs, stock — all available with no signal. Sync happens in the background the moment you're connected.
I04Is the AI going to replace my chef?
No. It replaces the paperwork. Your chef cooks, the app handles the admin. That's the promise.
07
HACCP & regulation
H01Is the generated HACCP record accepted by inspectors?
Yes. It's built on the official framework and maps cleanly to FSA / Environmental Health Officer expectations in the UK. 98% of our customers pass inspection without a fine. If an inspector ever raises something, we walk you through fixing it.
H02I've never set up HACCP — where do I start?
With the demo. We set up your food safety plan with you in 20 minutes. You don't need to know the regulation — we handle that side.
H03How do recall alerts work?
We watch the official feeds in real time (RappelConso in France, the FSA recall feed for the UK). The moment a product you have in stock gets recalled, an alert lands in the app in under 90 seconds — with the batch number and the procedure to follow.
08
Trial, data & commitment
D01What happens if I cancel?
You export all your data (cards, history, HACCP records) before you go. We don't hold your data hostage.
D02Can I try without committing?
Yes. 20-minute demo, then 30 days on us. You only pay if it fits. One-click cancel, no reason needed.
D03Are you going to put prices up in 6 months?
The first 50 founding customers are on the founder rate for life — what they sign today is their price forever. That's our commitment.
Still got a question?
Pick up the phone.
We answer like chefs.
20 minutes to see the product on your real-world case. No sales waffle.
